. His win earned him the apodo "Sueño". Mario beat out around 2,000 other competitors to earn a spot on Chivas USA's U-19 squad.

Professional

Mario was signed by Chivas to a professional contract on July 30, 2011. He made his first appearance of the season as a substitute in a 3-0 win over New York Red Bulls.

Mario scored in his first game of the season against D.C. United
