Williams was the second leading scorer, averaging 13.0 points per game while leading the team in three point field goal percentage. He also averaged 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. NBA Development League career

After being waived by the San Antonio Spurs, Marcus Williams spent time in the NBDL playing for San Antonio's affiliate, the Austin Toros. In the 2007–2008 season he averaged 19.2 points per game in 36 games. On 4 April 2009, Williams recorded his first career triple double against the Iowa Energy, registering 29 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists.

On 2/14/2008, Williams replaced teammate Malik Hairston to play in the D-League All-Star Game for the Blue Team. In 19:51 of game time he registered 11 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and a steal.

The 2008–2009 basketball season marked a stellar season for Williams; twice the recipient of being named player of the month and All-NBA D-League First Team honors.

After beginning 2010 playing in China, Williams returned to play with the Austin Toros late in the season. His presence was felt immediately. On 03/24/2010 in a game against Springfield, Williams was perfect from the field in attaining his 29 points; Williams shot 8 of 8 from the field, 4 of 4 from behind the arc, and 9 of 9 from the free throw line.

China

Williams later joined the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in China. He then moved to Shanxi Zhongyu.
