. It is 50 kilometres north of Udupi. The national highway NH-17 passes close to this beach (around 100 metres from the shore) and a stretch of a kilometre of this highway is flanked by the seashore of Arabian sea

Padukone village lies on the other side of Saupranika river and is connected via boat.
