Manaf Abd al-Rahim al-Rawi (Arabic
: مناف عبد الرحيم الراوي) is an Iraqi
, the alleged Al Qaeda's former "governor" in Baghdad
province.
Al-Rawi was arrested on March 11, 2010 by Iraqi security forces. Iraqi government sources claim al-Rawi is the man responsible for planning the multiple-vehicle bombings in Baghdad. He was a senior leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). Under interrogation, he apparently gave authorities information which led to the killing of two members of the group's leadership, Masri and Baghdadi, in the following months.
