Accreditation and recognition

The University was established by a special act of Government of Chhattisgarh and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. The University has "Private University" status by UGC and awards degrees, diplomas and certificates on par with those of other universities in India established under statutory provisions of central or state governments.

Student life

MUMT maintains that the highest principle of management is "prevention-oriented, problem-free administration" while the highest principle in the field of technology is "do less, accomplish more". To this end, MUMT integrates Maharishi's Vedic Science into its curriculum, along with modern course work in the different areas of Management and Technology. MUMT courses aim to be "job-oriented", "life-oriented" and "life-supporting".
