"Made in England" is often seen as a pro-English anthem, due to its upbeat tune and the repetition of shouts of "England" at the end of the song. However, the lyrics themselves tell a very different story. In fact, the last couple of lines sum it all up:
"But the joke's on you, you never read the song
They all think they know but they all got it wrong"
