Lata praises Avani in front of Prabhu. Prabhu tries to tell Avani about Lata's evil intentions earlier. Lata interrupts him and apologizes to Avani. She accepts Avani as her own daughter. Bhaskar advises Avani to forgive Suryakant. Avani invites Suryakant to Abha’s marriage. Avani's father apologizes to Kaveri for walking away from them earlier. Everyone enjoys Abha’s wedding rituals.
It is the story of an ordinary girl, who decides to continue taking the full responsibility of her maiden family even after her marriage as it is on her earnings, that the whole family survives. She is reluctant to leave her maternal nest before she manages to settle her two sisters and brother. But, her mother, under social pressures decides to get her married as soon as possible. It is a story of a girl trying to strike a balance between her aspirations and her mother’s concerns. The story is about the trial and tribulations of Avani.
Avani is the sole bread-winner of her family and has the responsibility of her mother, two sisters and a brother on her shoulders. Avani’s mother is desperate to get her married but Avani has other plans. She wishes to settle her brother and two sisters first. On repeated insistence by her mother Avani gives-up and decides to give marriage a chance, but not before laying down two conditions before the boy’s family. First, she wishes to continue working even after her marriage and second, she wants to hand-over her salary to Kaveri even after marriage, to sustain her family.
Avani finally meets Bhaskar who agrees to her conditions and the marriage alliance is fixed. The festivities begin but Bhaskar and his family have different plans. Bhaskar and his family dreams to grow big on Avani’s salary and her relatives (kaka and boss) as they are rich and affluent people. Later on Bhaskar realises his mistake and asks Avani for forgiveness. Avani forgives him and they start their relationship from the beginning, though Bhaskar's Aii still hates Avani because she thinks that Avani is stealing her son away from her. Then Avani see her father alive and Lata finds out that aditi is gone so Avani and Bhaskar go to her house.
Then the marrige off Kartik and Abha and finally Avani forgives her father and Kaveri.

Marriage proposal for Avani
Kaveri's eldest daughter, Avani, shows her their new bungalow. Kaveri is surprised to see the bungalow as it's very big. Kaveri's only wish is to get her eldest daughter Avani married, but Avani has plans of settling her brother first, getting her sisters married and then think of marriage. This upsets Kaveri. Avani wakes up from her dream of buying her mother a bungalow. Avani goes to office with her friend Usha. Avani is very ambitious. Her only dream is to buy her mother a dream house. Aditi calls Avani and requests her to return home as Kaveri has fainted. Avani reaches home. She is worried about Kaveri. Avani is shocked to learn that she was called home to see a boy and Kaveri had lied to her about her health. Avani is against marriage as she first wants to fulfill her dreams and then think of marriage. The boy's family comes to see Avani. Kaveri is excited. The boy and his family like Avani. Avani lays two conditions to the boy's family. One is that she wants to continue working after marriage and second is that she wants to continue giving her salary to Kaveri. The boy's family takes offense to Avani's second condition and leave. Kaveri is embarrassed. Everyone is depressed. Avani consoles Kaveri who is worried about the society making fun of Avani but Avani is determined to settle down her family first and then get married. Avani is concerned about her family member's happiness. She wants Manu to start working so that he can support himself but he is lazy. Bhaskar is introduced and he comes to a showroom to purchase a bike. He lies to the sales man saying he is a sales tax officer. Kaveri calls a priest home to see proposals for Avani. Avani tells Usha about her meeting with the boy's family and her conditions. Usha advises her to drop her conditions and get married. Lata is introduced who picks up a fight with a poor vegetable vendor. No one in the society respects Lata. A lady comes home with her son complaining to Lata about her daughter Neetu writing a love letter to the lady's son. Lata insults them and sends them away. Maskeran tries to impress Avani but fails. Lata is selecting girls for her son Bhaskar. She gives tips her daughter Anju on how to torture her mother in law. Bhaskar arrives. Lata and Bhaskar want a girl who can bring in a lot of dowry. Lata is upset to know that they live in a rented house. Avani is still stuck in the office. Manu calls the office and speaks to Maskeran who tells her that Avani has already left. Avani is working on an important file. She is worried about the boy's family waiting for her at home. Lata and family wait for Avani. Anju inquires about Avani's behavior, character and looks. Bhaskar comes to meet Avani in the office but Maskeran doesn't let them meet. Anju's husband is introduced who is very stingy and is upset with Anju spending all his money unnecessarily. Everyone celebrates Maskeran's birthday in office. Maskeran dreams of proposing marriage to Avani in front of the whole staff. Maskeran decides to make his dream come true. Bhaskar arrives. Bhaskar meets Avani. Maskeran is jealous of him. Bhaskar wants to speak to Avani personally but Maskare intrudes. Bhaskar apologizes to Avani for Lata's and his sister’s behavior and tells her that he wants to make her his life partner and is fine with all her conditions. Avani is happy. Usha is happy to know that Bhaskar has accepted Avani with all her conditions. Avani's family is happy and so is Avani. Avani fears Bhaskar changing his words after marriage but Kaveri has trust in Bhaskar and requests Avani to agree. Avani agrees. Everyone is happy. Bhaskar is happy to know that Avani has agreed for marriage. Lata's and Bhaskar's trap is successful. Bhaskar will not allow Avani to give money to her family after marriage as he plans of live on her salary. Lata informs Anju about Avani and Bhaskar's marriage. Anju's husband, Prabhu scolds her for spending his money on phone calls. Prabhu drops Anju to her house as he feels she is useless. Lata and Prabhu pick up a fight when Prabhu humiliates Lata and family. Abha gets angry when Kaveri requests Avani to call an elderly member of the family named Kaka. Kaveri visits Asha to invite her for Avani’s engagement. Asha’s husband subtly tells Kaveri that he is going through losses and won’t be able to pay for Avani’s wedding. At work, Maskeran enters the wrong quotation in a file that would result in heavy losses to the company. His boss fires him, but Avani rescues him and retrieves the files before it reaches the concerned people. Due to Avani’s insistence, Maskeran is let off with a warning by his boss. He misunderstands her actions and thinks she has feelings for him. Bhaskar calls Avani asking her to meet him but she is a little skeptical.Bhaskar repents for his blunder
Avani and Abha are touched when Karthik helps them in taking the food to the patients. Bhaskar is happy when his father shows him way of winning Avani’s trust back. Suryakant requests Kaveri to let him do the kanyadaan at Abha’s marriage. Suryakant visits Vaishali. Karthik reassures the worried Kaveri. Kaveri is relieved to when Vaishali tells her about being ready to let go of all her demands for Abha’s wedding. Vaishali introduces her priest to Kaveri. Bhaskar’s family is happy to know that Prabhu has got a job. Prabhu is stunned to know that he got the job due to Avani’s boss’s recommendation. He is surprised to know that Avani has already booked tickets for Prabhu to travel to Kolhapur, for his new job. Wedding preparations begin at Kaveri’s place. Mangala arrives for the wedding. Prabhu makes an anonymous call to his new workplace, and warns them not to hire Prabhu, but he is unsuccessful.Anju is angry to see this. Anju threatens to leave Prabhu if he does not take up the job.Bhaskar’s advice to Kaveri and Avani
Karthik’s mother and Sujata get busy with the wedding preparations. Kaveri tells Mangala about Suryakant. Kaveri gets hurt to see Suryakant’s name printed on Abha’s wedding invitations. Mangala advises Kaveri to forgive Suryakant and accept him again. Bhaskar is stunned to know that Suryakant is heading the school project that he would be managing. Suryakant tells Bhaskar to keep this a secret from his family. Bhaskar helps Karthik and Abha in meeting secretly. Bhaskar advises Avani to forgive Suryakant for his mistakes. Manu is hurt when Kaveri refuses to trust him with money during Abha’s wedding. Avani advises Kaveri to give Manu one more chance, and to trust him again. Bhaskar advises Avani and Kaveri to give Suryakant a similar chance, and to place their trust on him.Suryakant helps Kaveri
Avani clarifies to Bhaskar that she is not ready to forgive Suryakant. Prabhu is stunned to see Anju and Lata enthusiastic about his leaving to Kolhapur, for his new job. Prabhu is determined not to go to Kolhapur. Karthik and Abha share some romantic moments. Kaveri and her family are stunned to see the landlord destroying the decorations and throwing away the food that is being prepared for the wedding. The landlord insists that Abha’s wedding not be held in his house. Kaveri is worried. Sujata and Vaishali leave for Kaveri’s house with haldi for Abha. Suryakant confronts Kaveri’s landlord. Kaveri and her family are stunned when the landlord apologises to them, at Suryakant’s advice, and agrees to pay the damages as well. Avani clarifies to Suryakant that her family does not need any help from him. Suryakant refuses to give up.Abha advises Avani
Suryakant clarifies to Avani that he will never let any problems come in the lives of Kaveri or her family. He requests Kaveri to accept the papers of the house, as it is his duty towards her. Avani is against Kaveri accepting the papers. Avani is miffed when Abha, Manu and Aditi wish to accept the papers, and forgive Suryakant. Vaishali and Sujata arrive at Kaveri’s place with the haldi for Abha. Lata and Narayan also arrive. Abha and Lata are stunned to know of Suryakant visiting Vaishali. Lata shares with Anju a plan to ensure that Prabhu leaves for Kolhapur. Lata and Anju send everyone to Abha’s mehendi, and they stay back home to take care of Prabhu. Prabhu admits to pretending, when Lata confronts him. Synopsis
Dor voices the Star Plus thought “Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi”. The ‘Nayi Soch’- a girl who decides to own the responsibility of her family even after her marriage. The show challenges the social convention that a woman should give-up her responsibilities towards her ‘Maayka’ after marriage.It is the story of an ordinary girl, who decides to continue taking the full responsibility of her maiden family even after her marriage as it is on her earnings, that the whole family survives. Plot
