In February 2008, Look East became the first TV news bulletin in the UK to launch a daily e-mail version of the programme. More than a promotional tool, it contains an average of 60 links to recently updated regional news, weather and sport in a number of formats. Most of the main news items which appear on the TV programme are displayed on this newsletter, which also previews that evening's programme, expands on stories and features other local BBC
