. Suda described it as featuring "really extreme twists" and being very funny. He optimistically declared that he thinks the game will be "a really big title in the worldwide market.

It is also reported that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will publish the game outside of Japan and that filmmaker James Gunn has a hand in developing the game's story and characters. Gunn has said that many of the people he works with in his films and other projects are also working on Lollipop Chainsaw.
