. The whole village, led by the local vicar Owen Morgan, rallied around her but she was largely ungrateful for their efforts and became increasingly disliked.

In 2005, she became involved in possibly Pobol y Cwms most controversial storyline to date when she blackmailed Owen Morgan after spotting him kerb-crawling in Swansea. This led to him attacking her and leaving her for dead, for which Garry Monk was blamed. He eventually proved his innocence. Eventually, as police closed in on Owen Morgan, he took his own life. Following Owen's suicide in May 2006, Gwyneth appeared to have had a change of heart and was after portrayed as a more mature and likeable character.

In April 2007, Gwyneth left the soap to go travelling around Eastern Europe on a motorcycle given to her by Anti Marian. Upon her return later in the year Gwyneth went through a series of lovers, amongst whom was Gary Monk. This brief fling left Gwyneth pregnant, and despite initially considering having an abortion she eventually decided to keep the baby after being persuaded to do so by Gary.

Around this time Gwyneth began a relationship with Yvonne, Colin's sister who was visiting her family in the town. Unbeknownst to all, Yvonne was working for the FCP and was in Cwmderi to spy on, and gather evidence against Gary Monk. Gwyneth gave birth to her son Gwern and then, in a ceremony on Christmas Day 2010 married Yvonne, the truth about her deception yet to be discovered.
