The newspaper promoted SDA and pro-Bosnian Muslim, ultranationalist, views. The golden lily, or Lilium carniolicum var. bosniacum, is also considered the national symbol of the Bosniak people (Bosnian Muslims), one of three constitutive ethnic groups in Bosnia, the other two being Serbs and Croats.

The paper reflected the stances of the SDA, often its more radical wing. Circulation was 60,000 copies, 85% abroad.
