In October 2000, the Company acquired HumanClick, an Israeli-based provider of real-time online customer service applications.

On July 18, 2006, the Company acquired Proficient Systems, an Atlanta based provider of hosted proactive chat solutions that help companies generate revenue on their web sites.

On October 3, 2007, the Company acquired Kasamba Inc., an online provider of live expert advice delivered to consumers via real-time chat.

On April 13, 2010, the Company acquired all of the outstanding shares of NuConomy, an Israeli-based company whose web analytics and optimization platform is intended to help companies better assess and understand website and social marketing performance.

Products and services

As a “cloud computing” or software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider, LivePerson provides solutions on a hosted basis.

The company is organized into two operating segments. The Business segment, which facilitates real-time online interactions, utilizing: chat, voice, click-to-call, email and self-service knowledgebase for global corporations. And the Consumer segment, which facilitates online transactions between independent experts and individual consumers.
