The twin suicide attacks killed at least 4 police officers, after the two bombers breached the complex and detonated their explosives in the room of Lieutenant Colonel Shamil Ahmed Oglaq, who was among the dead and had apparently headed the battalion. The police building was known to have collapsed, as a result of these attacks and it is known that several police officers were unaccounted for, after the bombings. Security and rescue crews later scoured through the wreckage of the collapsed building looking for survivors of these suicide attacks.
