6 constituencies, with changes to realign constituency boundaries
with the boundaries of current local government wards,
and to reduce the electoral disparity between constituencies.
These changes are expected to be implemented at the United Kingdom general election, 2010.

Conservative 104,466 (39.4%), Labour 81,518 (30.8%), Liberal Democrat 64,400 (24.3%), British National Party 5,989 (2.3%), UK Independence Party 5,740 (2.2%), Green Party 1,533 (0.6%), English Democrats 414 (0.2%), Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition 376 (0.1%), National Democrats 263 (0.1%), Independent 245 (0.1%). Total votes: 264,944
