The Monastery is situated on 150 acre (0.607029 km²) of land. It is the first Coptic Monastery to be established in Australia. The monastery is currently under the direct jurisdiction of His Grace Bishop Suriel, Bishop of the Diocese of Melbourne & Affiliated regions. The Abbot of the monastery is the Bishop of the Diocese. The monastery is situated on a land of approximately 110 acre (0.4451546 km²). It is currently under the direct supervision of His Holiness Pope Shenouda III.
The current Abbot of the monastery is His Grace Bishop Daniel, Bishop & Abbot of the Monastery of St Shenouda the Archimandrite, Sydney (ordained on 7 June 2009)
