, Gwilym began her career at S4C
in 1998 as a continuity presenter for the Planed Plant
children's strand.
(Unit 5) as a presenter. During her time on the show, Gwilym took part in the 2003 John Cooper Mini Challenge. She also co-presented a special documentary with then-colleague Gethin Jones
from Madagascar
. This was broadcast over the Christmas holidays in 2004. Beforehand, she announced on Friday 16 December that she was leaving her presenting role. Gwilym stayed at Antena Television (the producers of Uned 5) to work as a producer on the show.

At the start of 2007, the programme was expanded to Sunday afternoons and Saturday afternoons during the summer (albeit, pre-recorded). In October 2007, she started presenting shorter one hour shows at 10pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Between June and October 2010, Gwilym temporarily left 'C2' to present Radio Cymru's early morning show each weekday. She returned on Monday 8 November 2010 to host the flagship 8-10pm show each weeknight.
She has also presented and worked on S4C
's coverage of the Welsh National Eisteddfod (in 2003, 2004 & 2009), the Brecon Jazz Festival
