Lillie Brock

Rev Elder Lillie Brock is an elder in the Metropolitan Community Church
and has served the denomination in throughout Western Canada, South America and the Central-Western United States. As of August 2009, she serves as the denominational Elder for Region 7.
Brock was born in Southern Alabama, where she was raised in the Southern Baptist Church. She studied psychology and education at Carson-Newman College
and linguistics at University of Hawaii
before becoming a professional corporate trainer. A noted management trainer before entering professional ministry she co-developed the Change Cycle as a way of explaining how both individuals and organisations assimilate change.
She has also worked as a therapist for disturbed children, served as the national president of Citizens Against Crime and has written two books, The Secret to Getting Through Life’s Difficult Changes and The Change Cycle: How People Can Survive and Thrive in Organizational Change. With the National Association of People with AIDS she co-authored the award-winning Caring, Commitment and Choices.
She formerly served as Pastor of National (Internet) Ministry and Congregational Life in the Cathedral of Hope
in Dallas while that congregation was affiliated with the Metropolitan Community Church. She now serves her Region from her Dallas base. She has been pursuing her divinity degree through Episcopal Divinity School
