History
BEE started the programme to assist all the stakeholders, providing energy efficiency services in India as per Energy Conservation Act. Clause (f) of sub section 2 of Section 13 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 provides that the Bureau shall arrange and organize training of personnel and specialists in the techniques for efficient use of energy and its conservation. Further clause (g) of the said section provides that the Bureau shall strengthen consultancy services in the field of Energy conservation.More than 8000 managers and auditors have been certified on the basis of examinations conducted so far.
