Libon is a 1st class municipality in the province of Albay, Philippines
. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 68,846 people in 12,572 households. Libon is known regionally as the "Rice Granary of Albay".
Mrs. Agnes "Bem" Perez Dycoco has served as town mayor since 2004. The vice mayor (also since 2004) is the Honorable Domingo "Jun" F. Sazon, Jr., who also presides over the Sangguniang Bayan.

Economy
Being the rice granary of the province, still agriculture plays an important role in this town's economy. Libon has its regional port in Pantao (still under construction) which aims to serve the island province of Masbate and some parts of the Visayas region.Barangays
