Early life and education
Lesley Lokko is the daughter of a Ghanaian surgeon and a Scottish mother. She grew up in Ghana and the United Kingdom. Lokko began studying Hebrew and Arabic at Oxford, but left the program to go to the United States. Lokko holds a PhD in architecture from the University of London.Career
