- The editor of Tokuma Shoten who unexpectedly read the incomplete manuscript of "Chess game of the Galaxy" recommended Tanaka to restructure and to write the episode of the prologue chapter of the story. This became the "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" (銀河英雄伝説).
