History
In 1954 Lee originated as an elementary school. The school was named in honor of Harriet S. Lee who taught in Woodland schools around the turn of the century. Village System
Lee Middle School has a village system with two villages per grade level. Students stay with the same villages for two years. This system allows students and teachers to develop close relationships and provides continuity in the student' education while at Lee Middle School. Village teachers have a common planning period to provide time for collaboration, student case management, and parent meetings.Now, 2010 rarely are the village systems used.
