 (LCS). It focuses primarily on the process of creating new languages, but also features talks that focus on features of various specific languages. Activities include technical linguistic discussions and general, sociological, or philosophical debates and discussions.

The first conference was held at UC Berkeley in April 2006, the second at UCB in July 2007, and the third in March 2009, at Brown University
