Lalić is a village in Serbia
. It is situated in the Odžaci
municipality, in the West Bačka District
, Vojvodina
province. The village is ethnically mixed and has population of 1,646 people (2002 census), including several ethnic groups, among them 796 Slovaks, 702 Serbs, and others. Its twin town is Mošovce
(Slovakia
).
The first Slovaks come in Lalic 1788th from Banat where they were colonized, and there are a refuge from the constant Turkish attacks. Another much larger group of Slovaks came 1780th from Slovakia (Tatra Mountains environment) and from Peštanske, Zvonjenske, Gemerske and Njitranjske County. According to records from the 1834th on the wall then the Orthodox Church in the village population was 1606.
Population slowly increased due to emigration to other places and due to epidemics and floods. During the great epidemics of cholera 1836th The deceased was over 900 persons and among them, and priest. According to census 1900th Lalic had 2530 inhabitants and 465 house numbers. It started so well as the Chambers wilderness Lalic.
