The Lower School building for grades Pre-K through 5th is 22000 square feet (2,043.9 m²) and contains classrooms, a multipurpose room/lunch room, an art room, and a computer lab. Behind the school is an athletic complex which includes a soccer/football field, a baseball field, a track, and five tennis courts, with a softball infield under construction.
Lake Mary Preparatory School was founded in August 1999. It was owned and operated by Learning Unlimited International Schools until June 2007, when it was sold to Meritas International.
