He earned many titles such as: "Defensive Lineman of the Year" in the Santa Clara Valley League (2000), two-time first-team all-league selection (1999 and 2000), also earned second-team All-Central Coast Section honors as a senior. Kyle had 53 tackles, 10 sacks and two fumble recoveries in his final year. Kyle was the captain for both his football team and his wrestling team. During Wrestling he compiled a 36-6 record in wrestling. He placed 4th in Central Coast Section and eventually took 8th place at state. He was not offered any scholarships.
After graduating in 2000, Kyle attended Mesa Community College
and earned his associates degree in 2003.
