The Korouni dialect is a Northwestern Iranian language in Fars and Kurdistan.
Koruni is a Kurdish tribe of Kurdistan and Fars. Most of the tribe was transplanted from Kurdistan to Fars by Karim Khan Zand during the 1760s.

Consonants
- fricative: ð, like in, 'peðar' (father).
- voiced velar fricative: γ, like in 'tiγ' (thorn).
- alveolar trill: like in 'borra' (flail).
- palatal: 'g' and 'k', like in 'gilas' (cherry) and 'goruk' (hank of yarn) for 'k'.
