This village is famous for manufacturing bricks. Every year millions of bricks are manufactured and supplied to nearby districts. There are around 400 trucks owned by the local citizens. Kolluru bricks are considered the best bricks to construct houses.

Temples : Very old Chinthalamma temple considered as amma for the entire village, Sivalayam, Vishnalayam, Kanaka Durga Gudi, Rama Mandiram, Anjaneya Gudi. Historic Significance: The Oldest epic-drama "Chintamani" is the real story of this village and the Bhavani Sankaram from Srikakulam of Krishna District was from the other side of River Krishna. The Heroine Chintamani lived in this village. It used to be one of the major agrahaarams during satavaahanas era when Srikakulam(in krishna district) was their capital.
