and was one of the main players to steer the team for the grand final win over the Melbourne Phoenix
as wing defence.
In 2008, she became one of the 18 members to be in the Australian netball squad, although she was not included in the final team. Smith was again selected to be in the initial squad in 2010, but was also not successful to be in the final team.
