 amateur boxer. Fighting out of the Bronx, New York, he has won several youth tourneys for the US and Puerto Rico.

Career

His achievements were:
  • Gold at the National Silver Gloves in 2006 (81 kg,178 lbs)

  • Gold at the Cadet World Championships 2007 at 86 kg,186 lbs representing Puerto Rico defeating Ukrainian Sergey Smolin RSC 3 in the final.


At his first major Seniors tournament shortly after turning 17, the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships‎, he was upset early at heavyweight with 201 lbs limit by Frenchman John M'Bumba
