as a trainee in 1976 and made a total of 76 Football League appearances for them, scoring 24 goals. In 1981 he was transferred to Brentford
where he made 51 League appearances, scoring 9 goals before moving to Colchester United
in 1983. Here he made 116 appearances, scoring 38 goals, until his footballing career was ended prematurely by a car crash in 1986.
