Kasani Narayana was born in the village of Devaruppal, near the town of Jangaon
in Warangal district
. His father Ramaiah and mother Devamma were agriculturists by profession. He was regarded as intelligent and courteous from early childhood. He was inspired by the influence of Mahatma Gandhi
