, Narayana went underground and began mobilizing people as Dalams. He worked as Area Dalam Commander, Zonal Commander and Central Commander.

Refusal to ask for Kshamabhiksha (Amnesty)

Narayana served two and half years in prison for his activities. He also worked 5 years underground against the authorities. Before police action, a court under Nizam

 issued the death penalty against Narayana. After police action, Narayana refused to ask for kshamabhiksha (amnesty). The Supreme Court of India later dismissed the charges against Narayana.
