. The club was founded in 1925 with the name of "KS Urani". In 1927, the club renamed themselves to "SK Durrës", in 1930, "KS Teuta Durrës", in 1946 "Ylli i Kuq Durrës" (Red Star), in 1950 "SK Durrës", in 1951 "Puna Durrës", and from 1958 to 1990, "KS Lokomotiva Durrës". In 1991, the club went back to being named "KS Teuta". The club plays at the Niko Dovana Stadium (capacity 12,000). In the season 2006/07 they were runners-up both in the league and in the cup.
