KBJD is an expanded AM Band station (those above 1600 kHz). When the expanded licenses were issued, the licenses were conditional on the licensee surrendering either the original station license in the normal AM band (KRKS) or the expanded license station at the end of a five year period. The five year period for this station ended on February 20, 2006. and the station continues to operate under temporary six-month STA orders while the FCC review is underway.Programming
