Juan Solari

Juan Solari is a British
tv/film director and producer, actor, VO artist and video journalist of Mexican origin.
in Theatre Arts from the Drama School of the National Institute of Fine Arts, Mexico. He has been General Manager of two theatres in Mexico City, and he has reviewed films and entertainment programs for Mexican radio and television.
In late 1999 he moved to London where he wrote and directed his 16 mm short film opera-prima Latin Doves (Official Selection at Sarasota and Rhode Island International Film Festival
s USA).
In 2002 he stepped in to journalism, writing from London his own column for the web page of TV Azteca
. In 2003 he was appointed news correspondent for the UK by the same company, and he also became a voice-over artist.
In January 2003 Solari completed his MA
in AudioVisual Production (as a Film Director) at London Metropolitan University
with his latest short film, the thriller "Marionettes". Shortly after, he founded Solar Dreams Productions Ltd. an independent TV and films production company. After being invited by the Universities of Cambridge
and Southampton
, Juan Solari has imparted two film-making seminars at these institutions.
In 2006 he was nominated by The Foreign Press Association in London for a "Story of the Year" award for his documentary Iran, Behind the Door Line.
