He has three short story collections of his own that feature a wide variety of his work: Needles & Sins (Necro Publications, 2007), Vigilantes of Love (Twilight Tales, 2003) and Cage of Bones & Other Deadly Obsessions (Delirium Books, 2000).

In addition to writing, Everson is also the co-founder of the publishing company Dark Arts Books. This company releases one anthology a year that consists of 4 different authors contributing 3 to 4 short stories each in order to offer readers a sampler collection that represents each of their individual styles. Everson assists with editing and provides cover artwork, book layout, and promotion of the company.

Recent releases for Everson include The 13th (Necro Publications, Summer 2009 and Leisure Books, Fall 2009) and Siren (Leisure, 2010).
