John Buller was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons
variously between 1656 and 1695.
Buller was the son of Francis Buller
of Shillingham Cornwall, and his wife Thomasine Honeywood. He was admitted at Middle Temple
on 29 January 1646 and at Trinity College, Cambridge
on 6 July 1647.
In 1656, Buller was elected Member of Parliament
for the combined constituency of East Looe
and West Looe
in the Second Protectorate Parliament
. He was elected MP for East Looe and also for Saltash
in 1659 for the Third Protectorate Parliament
In 1660, he was elected MP for West Looe in the Convention Parliament. In 1661 he was elected MP for Saltash in the Cavalier Parliament
. He was elected MP for Liskeard
in 1679, 1681 and 1689. In 1692 he was elected MP for Grampound
and held the seat until 1695.
Buller married firstly in 1657 Anne Coode, daughter of John Coode of Morval, He married secondly Jane Langdon, daughter of Walter Langdon of Keverall near East Looe. His brother Francis
was also an MP in Cornwall.
