In 1967, Representative Patronis' father and uncle purchased the renowned Capt. Anderson Restaurant on Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach, from its founder Capt. Max Anderson. Representative Patronis' spouse, Katie Patronis, is a realtor in Panama City Beach, where she is associated with a Century 21 franchise owned by her mother.

Representative Patronis new political career is financed mainly by business interests from throughout Florida. From January 1, 2007 until September 18, 2008, Representative Patronis raised $126,076.83 in campaign contributions.
