Jesse is the son of Dr. J. Michael (Mike) Fritsch a Distinguished Professor of Meteorology (Emeritus) who taught at Penn State for many years before retiring in 2003.

Along with school friend Josh Vargo, Fritsch created music for a large number of etnies commercials. While working on various skate commercials, he met the other future band members of what would become Sayvinyl. Sayvinyl released one full-length album entitled "God Forbid" during the summer of 2008 before disbanding during December, 2009.
