Gerald R. "Jerry" Dalrymple (August 6, 1907 – September 25, 1962) was an American football
player and coach of football and basketball in the United States. Dalrymple was All-Southern in sophomore year; All-American in his junior and senior year at Tulane University
. In 1931, he was the only unanimous All-American in the country. As of 2010, he was still the only unanimous All-American from Tulane. In 1931, he was Tulane's football captain the year they went to the Rose Bowl
. Later he went to Louisiana State University
where he earned a master's degree in education. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame
as a player in 1954.
