He was once a member of a champion team in the ADIDAS Streetball Challenge in Western Visayas. During his High School years in USLS, Chan played numerous leagues in the Bacolod City

 training camp but before school started, Chan returned to play with the University of St. La Salle. He spent one last year in his school, then moved to Far Eastern University
