Following his time in Philadelphia he played for the Canadian National Team competing in the Spengler and Izvestia Cup. The young forward was then signed by the Minnesota North Stars
splitting the 1990 season between the AHL and the American Hockey League
. Harding played in the AHL for two years before retiring in 1992. Today he teaches Health and Physical Education at Central Bucks East High School.
