Thelma Jean Grossholtz Professor Emeritus of Politics and Women's Studies at Mount Holyoke College

After completing undergraduate work at Pennsylvania State University
in 1956 and a Master of Arts at the University of Denver
in 1957, Jean went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
in 1961, where she trained as a specialist in South East Asian Politics.
Jean taught Politics and Women's Studies at Mount Holyoke College for 40 plus years.
Jean has been a political activist all her life.
