In May 2004, Grinney was chosen as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Birmingham, Alabama-based HealthSouth Corporation. As a result of Grinney becoming the President and Chief Executive Officer of HealthSouth, Grinney relocated to Birmingham. Grinney is married to his third wife, Melanie Parker Grinney, and has a son and two daughters from a previous marriage. They reside in Mountain Brook
