Hit and run accident

On July 17, 2007, while driving a car in Maryland, Hunter struck a motor scooter and then fled. The scooter's driver, a 53-year-old man, died of his injuries several hours later. According to police, Hunter came forward the following day to be interviewed about the accident. At that time, no charges were filed. Hunter was arrested February 28, 2008. He was charged with two felony counts of leaving the scene of an accident, two misdemeanor counts, and several traffic charges, and was then freed on $25,000 bond. On November 10, 2008, he received a five year sentence, with all except six months of the sentence being suspended.
