They moved back to the city when her spouse was appointed chamberlain of the court of the crown prince. Jaquette bore a daughter, named Oscaria, in 1819 to her lover the crown prince. The baby was given up to burgher-class foster-parents, and was given their last name. Jaquette and Oscar was pointed out as lovers in many private letters of the time. They behaved intimately with each other, and it was noted that Jaquette did not use his title when she spoke to him. In 1821, their relationship was about to become too obvious, and that year, prince Oscar was sent of to Europe to find a bride.
