There are four cinemas. Notable temples include the 200 year old Radhakrishna temple, Manchapuran Hanuman temple, Jagnath Mahadev, Bada mandir (Jain Temple), Jain Dadawadi (Shree Rajendrasurishwar ji maharasaheb). The city is famous in the Indian Jain Community because the Jain saint Rajendra Suri performed his "Kriyoddhar" activity under a tree at Khachrod

 road that is now known as Jain Dadawadi Temple. The city has two theatres, which offer low cost entertainment option. It attracts hundreds of people from nearby villages every week. Jaora offers cheap prices for most of the goods. The grain and pulses mandi is the backbone of financial structure. The educational and health care facilities are very basic. . There is just one mediocre hotel.

UPDATE; Later Educational facilities improved a lot , Jaora has various Government and Private Higher Secondary schools , Post -Graduate college of science, Commerce and Arts, Polytechnic and engineering college. Jaora has given many scholer students to country who are serving at various places on Globe as technocrats and administration officers. Jaora has produced intelligent students and best quality players specially in Table-Tennis and Basketball .

One good thing at Jaora is teachers and professors in school and college are very supportive , knowledgeable and sensible.

In short, it is a typical Indian village and offers a cultural mixture. Infrastructure is poor, but love and unity among the people is sound.

Transport

 network between Ratlam - Ajmer section. From Jaora there are direct trains for Ajmer, Udaipur, Agra, Kota, Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Neemuch.

The Mhow-Neemuch state highway passes through Jaora so it is also a convenient way to come to Jaora. Jaora is 34 km from district HQ Ratlam. The buses provide access to the surrounding area. Tempos, Auto rickshaws and Tongas are available for transport within the city.

UPDATE : Jaora railway track has been converted from meter gauge to broad gauge under Project Unigauge. Hence all above trains are not valid now. New sets of trains will become operational.

Shopping:

In Jaora, there are lots of place to shopping. Khariwal Street where you will find D'cot showroom (managed by Gangwal Family), Kothi Bajar where you will find readymade garment shop of Sanghvi topiwala(since 1936),bajaj khana etc.
There are other showrooms like Clarlie Outlaws, Barsilona etc.
