In 1996, the group management of Jansen Holding Ltd. decided that a second production site was required. Consequently, a new production building measuring 200m x 40m in width, as well as a 100 x 54 m warehouse facility, were constructed on a 70,000 m2 site in Thüringen Dingelstädt, Germany, to complement the plant in Oberriet SG. This strategic decision to increase capacity enabled additional objectives to be met: namely, proximity to the principal markets and a location within the European Union. The total plant size in Oberriet SG alone equals up to 120,000 m2.
