  • The 10 most-improved countries in 2006 were: Pakistan, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Suriname, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Turkey, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
  • The 10 countries which showed least improvement in 2006 were: Iran, Italy, Guinea, Bolivia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Sri Lanka, Equatorial Guinea, Egypt and Nicaragua.
