, forming a separate international of youth organisations while keeping the REVOLUTION name. The Australian section soon became inactive. The three remaining sections renamed themselves and their international Revolutionary Internationalist Organization (RIO) in January 2010. At the same time they ceased to refer to themselves as youth organisations, RIO membership is open to people of all ages.

In common with the partisans of the L5I in the Czech Republic the members of RIO joined the New Anticapitalist Left (NAL) party in 2009. By early 2011 they held that the L5I supporters were attempting to expell them from that party.
